ABOUT TSURUNOMARU SIGNATURE RECIPE
TSURUNOMARU handcrafts our original KAGAYAKI No.8 in the beautiful, historic town, Fukuyama in Hiroshima Prefecture. We work with the cooperation of local rice confectionery maker, Setoman, who has over 40 years of history and tradition.
KAGAYAKI No.8 is TSURUNOMARU’s original recipe of SHOYU no OKAKI (soy sauce seasoned rice cracker) that we have crafted, using carefully selected premium-quality soy sauce and glutinous rice made in Yamaguchi Prefecture and coarse sugar made in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. The dough, made from glutinous rice, has been gently baked to specially craft the finger-size rice cracker with a crispy yet gently softened texture that is easy to eat. This is our signature recipe that expertly crafts a harmonious balance between the naturally rich-flavored soy sauce and the gentle sweetness of coarse sugar.
